Devine, an artist and stone mason, creates the spheres without any concrete or glue. Instead, they are made of carefully stacked stones, fitted together and balanced on each other. 

The biggest challenge is getting the ‘flow’ of the stacked stones just right.

The spheres are self-stabilized as the stones are weighted against each other. The greatest risk of collapse when Devine is building the spheres is at the halfway point.
