Daydreams begin in innocence… a childlike freedom to imagine as we lay still within the river of time.

Fine art photographer Gabe Tomoiaga creates beautiful dreamlike images, steeped in the fantasies of childhood.

Born in Romania, Tomoiaga began as a portrait painter before finding his passion for photography at the age of 21.

Now living in Seattle with his family, Tomoiaga is like a kid in a candy shop, with magnificent natural settings all around him, ready to become part of his surreal visions.

Tomoiaga’s 3 young sons, Liam, Landon, & Lucas, all under the age of 4, are the subjects of his dreamy portraits. He takes them on adventures to nearby parks, beaches, forests, and right in their own backyard. And then, he transports them to fantastical dream worlds.

Through the use of staging and post-production editing, Tomoiaga brings his daydreams to life.

While his work is steeped in fantasy, Tomoiaga finds that he gets enormous pleasure and deep meaning from watching the very real experiences of his children as they explore their world and grow.

He hugely appreciates spending such concentrated quality time together with them.

As the boys dally with wild creatures, take shelter under giant flowers, and drift off into the summer sky, the stories unfurl.

Tomoiaga daydreams a lot. He likes to travel back in time to revisit childhood notions and innocent ideas!

He likes to conjure wild, yet safe places, devoid of any cares or concerns. And we like to go along on his journey.
