ULTRA FINE ULTRA VIOLET ART & DESIGN

Pantone 18-3838 Ultra Violet suggests royalty, opulence, sweetness, sultriness, and the mysteries of the cosmos all at once. And it’s a color that has inspired artists and designers, long before it was designated the 2018 Color of the Year.

I1. COLLISION -- AARON NAGEL

“Collision,” by Aaron Nagel, is a violet-dominant painting in the artist's latest series that combines figures with folds of fabric. “As a figurative artist, I've always had a fractious relationship with clothing,” Nagel says. “My concern is with the body, with creating mood. Clothes always seemed like a needless complication - and I know nothing about fashion. Somewhere along the way, though, I discovered that clothing, or more simply fabric, can have its own body and mood. It can cover, and it can interact.”

3. UNTITLED -- IAMRA ART

So… we know nothing about this artist, known as IamraArt, and nothing about this painting, only because the artist posted no information about either. But it is a delight exercise in violet! With abstract swirls that rock the shade, we can love it even without provenance.

4. ULTRA VIOLET PAINT -- THE NEW SUPERIOR PAINT CO.
