THE ART OF MIND-BLOWING BUBBLES NOW
Bubbles are beautiful no matter how you look at them. But when artists get a hold of them, so to speak, bubbles can really blow your mind! Check out some supercool examples below and get ready to blow...
SANTIAGO BETANCUR Z
Is the universe a cosmic bubble? While astrophysicists are still debating that concept, Colombian artist and photographer Santiago Betancur Z is toying with it.
These amazing photos make bubbles look like psychedelic planets floating in space.
The bubbles are shot against dark surfaces to generate prismatic light in the shape of spheres.
“Art is the science of beauty,” the artist exclaims.
Betancur Z spent the last 11 years experimenting with soap bubbles, as he photographed and video-recorded them in his studio.
Betancur Z holds a Maestro (Masters) in Fine arts from the National University of Columbia where he also serves as arts and photography professor and member of the research group “Between Art and Science.”
FAN YANG - GAZILLION BUBBLE SHOW
We just had to mention The Gazillion Bubble Show here. If you haven’t yet seen it, it’s totally worth it. Although it is kind of geared towards children, it is fascinating and beautiful enough to captivate even the most jaded adult.
The show is designed by Fan Yang, a bubble scientist, artist, and performer with 16 Guinness World Records. Who else could put an elephant into a bubble?
The Gazillion Bubble Show has been performed all over the world by Fan and other members of the Yang family. Check it out and be amazed!
