EXPERIENCE BEAUTIFUL NEW REALITIES HAPPENING NOW AT SUNDANCE!

This year, VR is making a very real, extraordinary splash at Sundance Film Festival. The BN team has curated the most beautiful VR experiences at SFF to share with you. Today, we are focused on those with nature, science, and tech themes.
CONDITION ONE
Live amongst the Earth’s endangered species in Condition One, a new live-action VR Experience directed by Danfung Dennis, Casey Brown, and Phil McNally. Hang out with rare jaguars in the jungle, nest with sea turtles on a remote beach, fly with the wind and monarch butterflies. It’s exhilarating!
IRRATIONAL EXUBERANCE
Look out for that beautiful cosmic debris when you take flight in Irrational Exuberance, the new
animated cosmic environment. Sail through space to find out about its mysteries and hidden beauties. This VR Experience, by director Ben Vance, is a real trip!
NOTES ON BLINDNESS - INTO DARKNESS
Using real-time 3D Virtual Reality and binaural sound, Notes on Blindness - Into the Darkness, a new VR Experience, directed by James Spinney, Peter Middleton, Amaury La Burthe, Arnaud Colinart, enables you to experience life as a blind person. While it may sound daunting, it is a fascinating way to experience “a world beyond sight.”
This VRE is part of a multi-platform project that includes Notes on Blindness film featured in New Nature, Science, & Tech Stories Unfold at Sundance 2016 featured last week. Both are based on the audio diary of John Hull, recorded as he experienced losing his sight.
SEQUENCED
The beauty of Girl Power is happening now in Sequenced, the new VR Experience, directed by Michaël Martin, Sylvain Joly, & Emilie Joly. Immerse in the 1st episode of this anime series and feel what it’s like to help save humanity alongside the teenage heroine, using her instinctive knowledge of nature, combine with AI. Your focus drives the story. It’s cool!
SONAR
You’ll uncover a deep dark secret as you journey into space to find the source of a faint distress call coming from an unknown asteroid in Sonar, a brilliant new CG animated VR Experience, directed by Alexander Maas, Dominik Stockhausen, and Philipp Maas.
