10 SUPER-FAST OPULENT ORANGE CARS!

2018 Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder.

We begin our week of Beautiful Orange with a look at some of the hottest, fastest new orange sports cars. While red is the color most people think of when they think sports car, orange seems to pack an extra punch. We love seeing sleek shiny orange shapes against the blacktop and the landscape

From the latest Lamborghini Huracán Performante to a few favorites from years past, like the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and the Spyker C8 Aileron that still give us a thrill, these fast orange rides have us giddy.

Check them out below.

2018 Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder hits the road under blue skies with white clouds.

The Lamborghini Huracán Performante has been totally re-engineered, reducing its weight with patented Forged Composites®, boosting engine power, improving its chassis and installing an innovative system of active aerodynamics: ALA.

Beyond this car’s technical brilliance, it also conveys a new idea of beauty -- all the more beautiful in opulent orange.

Drop the top and look up -- and look ahead through the slick black-framed windshield -- and enjoy this rip-roaring orange ride.

Orange McLaren P1 against grey cloudy sky.

With flowing curves and a powerful visage, the Mclaren P1 certainly looks like it burns a lot of fuel as it burns rubber. But... no. This limited production vehicle is a plug-in.

It is considered to be the long-awaited successor to the McLaren F1, utilizing hybrid power and Formula 1 technology. We won’t get too into the technical details, but lets just say its as super-fast as it is super-beautiful.

The P1 goes from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 6.8 seconds, and 0 to 300 km/h (186 mph) in 16.5 seconds, 5 seconds faster than its predecessor.

Orange Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.

One of our car-obsessed interns has loved the Bugatti Veyron ever since he could say the word “car.” So he was grinning ear to ear when he shared the new Grand Sport Vitesse with us for this post.

This Bugatti model is “the fastest production roadster in the world,” looking like an orange streak of light at 255.5 mph. There were only 8 of these orange beauties made. They sold almost as fast as they run. Bugatti made 405 of the “lesser” version of this car. Sorry, they’re sold too. Perhaps you can put a bid in for the next batch?

Orange Caparo T1 in front of grey battleship.

This car looks like the best possible orange hot wheels fantasy -- except it’s lifesize and it’s real. Check it out.

Adjustable aerodynamic systems that control the vehicles front wing, rear wing and fowler flaps means that the Caparo T1 hugs the road tightly.

The T1 is much lighter than cars of similar power. At 150 mph, and with proper wing configuration, Caparo claims the T1 generates enough downforce that it could drive through a tunnel upside down -- in effect making downforce act as upforce.

If you care, you can choose from several gear and final drive ratios to choose from when you order.

The orange Spyker C8 Aileron at the racetrack.

The Spyker C8 Aileron looks like an orange bullet. Sporting a somewhat neo-retro design, it is beautiful to behold, with a flame-shaped contour and scissor doors on the outside and fine polished metal and exquisite quilted leather on the inside.

While not as fast as some of its competitors, this Dutch-made orange beauty can still make a v-line to your heart. You’ll be sitting in a work of art as you cruise.

Orange Koenigsegg CCR.

Among the fastest cars around, the Koenigsegg CCR is a mid-engined sports car, first introduced 10 years ago, now new and improved.

With an upgraded body with a larger front splitter for optimized downforce, it’s an orange force to be reckoned with. Tweaked headlights and a beautiful new rear end are super-sweet. It has larger tires, wheels, and brakes. The suspension is upgraded and the engine is way more powerful.

Zoom 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 395 km/h (245 mph).

Orange Aston Martin Vanquish.

The Aston Martin Vanquish is the most powerful GT production engine in Aston Martin history.

This bolt of orange lightning moves at a top speed of 201 mph, in 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. The all-new Touchtronic III ZF eight-speed automatic transmission offers exceptional shift quality and even faster acceleration, shifting in just 130 milliseconds.

Made of aerospace-engineered carbon-fibre, this car’s body is rigid, yet light, making it very agile.

Being hailed as the “ultimate Aston Martin,” this model has the most luxurious ergonomic interior ever, with carbon fibre finishes, contrasting seat accent colours, and over one million unique hourglass stitches. Hand-crafted capacitive glass buttons are illuminated and rock revolutionary ‘haptic feedback’.

Orange Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3.

Going from concept car to finish line in less than two years, the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3 started fast and drives even faster. It’s not the newest car in our Beautiful Orange collection, but it merits a place on the list.

This tangerine dream car enjoys a combination of optimum weight distribution, a low center of gravity, powerful drive, and efficient aerodynamics. With groundbreaking technology at every juncture, this mid-engine, six-speed, powerhouse has an all new feel.

Orange SRT Viper TA.

Out of 165 of these beautiful SRT Viper TA’s produced, 99 of them sport Viper’s stunning signature shade of TA orange. Even the springs are painted TA Orange.

The aerodynamic features, beautiful and effective, give the vehicle a distinct look while allowing it to hug the ground at intense speeds. This is not a street car, this beauty was made for the track.

TA stands for "Time Attack." Enough said. The car’s hood is sliced with six vents to cool off its 640 HP V10 engine.

A deep front splitter and rear lip spoiler are made of carbon fiber, with flaming paintwork to make it sizzle.

The orange TechArt Porsche Carrera GT.

Aah, an old favorite makes its orange presence seem so fresh in the TechArt model of the Porsche Carrera GT. Components made of exposed carbon fiber contrast beautifully with its awesome metallic orange painted body.

A new air outlet the one-piece spoiler lip make this baby super-slick, along with a three-piece gurney flap, a pop-up rear wing, and other cool body design features.

Inside the TechArt Carrera GT, a customized interior with an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel with leather/carbon fiber rim, and a shifter made from exposed carbon fiber keep you feeling cool as you drive.

The Porsche Carrera GT can zip you from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. It tops out at 205 km/  (330 mph)
